As the volunteers and I prepare for this year’s mission to the San Pablo, I can’t help but be thankful for God’s hand of favor over this organization. The Kids of Santiago is a divine assignment. Every person that is contributing to changing the lives of the angelic faces you see in the picture above, will be blessed for their efforts.

What an amazing journey this is and it’s just the beginning. Over the past three years, we’ve been able to collect and give out more than 3,000 donations including shoes, toys, clothes, and food that have benefited more than 250 children in San Pablo, Dominican Republic. This year, we will ship nearly 12 boxes filled with donations that will meet some of the most basic needs of these children.

Also as part of this year’s mission, we will look to capture personal profiles of each of these kids. We want to get to know them individually so that we can be more effective with our efforts. Every year it is a blessing just to be able to put a smile of their face with small donations we receive from people like you – but as we grow and expand, our goal to make radical shifts in their lives to propel them into success.

We want to tackle things like lack of transportation and documentation in the area. These are two of the most critical reasons why they don’t go to school. This is a serious problem in the area and many of these kids don’t have the privilege of easy access to school buses. Also, many were never properly registered when they were born and therefore do not have birth certificates which prevents them from going to school. To learn more about these programs, you can visit the Programs tab.

It is time to tighten our belts and do everything we can to help these children. I am thankful for the volunteers who donate their time, resources, and energy to this effort every year both in the states and in the Dominican Republic. I am also thankful for donors like you who believe in this mission and chose to contribute with donations, time, prayers, and monetary contributions.

Our next mission trip is scheduled to take place over Christmas in December of 2019. If you would like to contribute to this mission in any way, please click the donate button or go to Contact Us tab and submit your information. We will be in touch with you with more information on how you can help us meet our most immediate needs.

May God bless you.
